View from the top of an expert advanced descent looking across to an intermediate trail on Lindis Peaks Station. The exit at the bottom out of the descent sees advanced riders go through a creek section then up a rocky hill climb out. Prepare to be challenged and thrilled with this one!
With less than 3 weeks until this year’s trail ride things are really starting to happen on the trails and we’re getting really, really excited about it all! Our trails team have been exploring and navigating a new set of advanced and expert loops for all the riders that are after an extra challenge this year.

View from the other side of the expert descent down the fence line to the creek section. This is extremely steep and scarey to even look at, definitely a challenge for the expert riders!
Advanced loop extensions
Our trail’s team have been exploring and marking out new advanced terrain over Lindis Peaks Station and Long Gully farm. The video below show’s some naked advanced terrain exploration through scrub and rocks. It is a long hill climb that will test your fitness and gets steep and tricky toward the end.
We’re anticipating that last year’s advanced riders that thought they weren’t challenged enough will most definitely be planning a return after this video preview! Due to the wet conditions last year we noted that only 4 riders made it out of one of the steep 2.5km hill climbs. Rider’s please note that all of the hill climbs do lead to other trails so there is the opportunity to connect from the top (if you can make it!)
Video: Advanced trail huge hill climb
This video shows two attempts at a new hill climb section linking to the intermediate trail at the top. It will test advanced riders and fitness, the last section is more or less a wheel stand to the top while negotiating through rocks and scrub.
Video: Intermediate trail over Lindis Peaks Station homeward bound
This section of the intermediate trail uses existing 4WD tracks and is super fun for all abilities.
